SCUBA and cute guys who work in the dive shops
OH MY GOD. I ADORE Kihei, Maui, Hawai'i. I'm currently there on vacation right now. I leave tomorrow but hey, who's really caring at this point eh? I've been here since mmmm....April 3rd. And I tried the whole surfing thing and it worked pretty well, but, what I have really sprung a passion for is SCUBA Diving. It's incredible, up close and intense with a world so far beyond and different from our own. I'm here on my aunt's dime, my Graduation present, and she's the one who's gotten me started on it, she'll have to keep me on it and I'm DYING to get my certification so I can finally go out to Molokini and maybe even Fiji with her in a couple of years. But, as far as the hunt for nice, cute guys when one is on vacation, look no further, I've totally found the most awesome guy on all of Maui. He's 36, and shares so many interests with me its uncanny. He's amazingly intellectual too, it's so nice to have a stimulating conversation with someone outside this drone monotony of existence. This week has been practically surreal because of the things I've done and this incredibly guy that I met, I have to get back out here in August to do my open water dives for my certification course, and the great thing about SCUBA Certification is that once you get it, you've got it for life! Unless of course you want to take a master course or wreck dive course or go so far as to become so obssessed like my awesomly cool aunt Linda and take a Nitrox course so you can stay under, longer, without having to decompress so much as you would with a regular air tank. I adore this island. The thing with Mr. Maui Dive Shop is the fact that not only is he like 15 years my senior, he's three thousand miles away from me. So for the time being we're going to keep e-mailing each other just because we both think that one another is a great conversation so, this means that I'm more than likely still guy hunting back home in good old Indiana, I just need to find someone who has a remote interest in SCUBA, well....I might have to go even lower to ask if they even know what SCUBA is. After all, its only Indiana, and one can't expect much from the common populus. Oh well.... 'auka happens. (Hawaiian equivalent of: shit happens) Wishing you the Wisdom I Lack!Lindsay
